Fr. Tyler Richards
The Rev. Tyler C. Richards, SCP, SMMS joined the staff of St. Anne's as rector in July of 2020. Father Tyler has previously served congregations in The Diocese of Eastern Michigan and The Diocese of Alabama. He and his family live in De Pere and are very happy to call Wisconsin and The Diocese of Fond du Lac home.
Father Tyler is a graduate of The University of Alabama and holds a Bachelors of English from The University, as well as a minor in Comparative World Literature. It was while he was at School at The University of Alabama that he began his discernment for the priesthood and continued on to seminary after he finished his degree.
Father Tyler attended seminary at The School of Theology at The University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee, one of the accredited Episcopal Seminaries throughout the country. While at Sewanee he did Clinical Pastoral Education at Naples Community Hospital in Naples Florida, as well as an internship with The Episcopal Church of The Nativity in Lewiston Idaho, a Church in the Diocese of Spokane. His field education was completed with a "Third Space" parish at Southside Abbey in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a congregation that has a strong ministry to the homeless population of Chattanooga.
Father Tyler and his Wife, Colleen, enjoy traveling extensively and spend a great deal of time in the outdoors. Colleen is an avid skier, and Fr. Tyler can best be described as "enthusiastic." Together the two have visited many national parks including Isle Royale, which is situated in Lake Superior. Tyler and Colleen have one daughter, Emery. So far she shows a great deal of resistance to the cold of the north, despite the fact that her father is a native born Alabaman. Colleen is a native of Minnesota.
You can reach Fr. Tyler at the parish Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm. He is also available by appointment either in person of via Zoom.
