Stewardship
Stewardship is how we participate in the life of the Trinity. From Genesis to Revelation we find God to be a giving God. The Father gives the Son, the Son gives his life. The Holy Spirit is given to the Church, and the gifts of God and the fruit of the Spirit are given to us. God is a giving God. Giving is God’s nature for God is love, and love, by its very definition means to give...eagerly, generously, sacrificially, and cheerfully. ”For God so loved the world that he gave...” (Jn 3:16).
Stewardship is the means by which we participate in the very nature of God. Through stewardship we are able to be lovers and givers, just like Jesus. Through stewardship of our time, talent, and treasure we declare that Jesus is our Lord, and he in turn makes holy our lives, our work, and our resources. As we live our lives in faithful stewardship, know that we are participants in the divine nature of God’s love…
God has given us everything we have. How can we give back to God? What will we give back to God? Those are questions that each of us must determine the right answer to in our lives.
C.S. Lewis left us with this challenging thought:
“I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare. In other words, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusement, etc., is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving away too little. If our giving does not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say it is too small. There ought to be things we should like to do and cannot because our commitment to giving excludes them.” (C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity)

SCRIP
SCRIP raises fund for the church while you shop. Scrip fundraising gift cards are the same gift cards you would normally purchase from a retailer in your local retail stores, and they work the same way. You’ll find cards you can use at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, movie theaters, home improvement stores, and many others. For every dollar spent through SCRIP cards, the church receives a varying percentage in return. Utilizing SCRIP is an excellent Stewardship practice! SCRIP is available in the parish offices during the week and after services each Sunday.
Joseph of Arimathea Fellowship
The Joseph of Arimathea Fellowship includes people who have included St Anne’s church in their estate planning. Their far-sighted support inspires others by example and ensures that the mission of the church will continue on for generations to come. (Mt 27:57-61) Joseph cared for the body of Christ on Good Friday.
