About St. Anne's Episcopal Church
Mission and Vision Statements
On any given Sunday in De Pere, Wis., you can walk through the tall wooden doors of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and hear the congregation singing “Welcome to the Family.” The words of the hymn go on to say, “We’re glad that you are here.” And we are.
Life at St. Anne’s revolves around God’s word and sacraments, and ministries in which we carry out our Christian calling to love and serve one another. We pride ourselves on welcoming all newcomers, and in offering ample opportunities to enrich your own faith while serving the greater good.
The vision of St. Anne’s is to “participate whole-heartedly in the on-going ministry of Jesus by being an Episcopal parish devoted to worship, evangelism, pastoral care, Christian education and spiritual formation, and by sincere caring and responding to the needs of those in and beyond our immediate community.”
Sit in the pews and hear familiar voices singing behind you. Share the peace with a couple sitting in front of you that have been members here since they were married in this very place. St. Anne’s is a beautiful church where members shine forth, filled with God’s promise.
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands…” the Bible commands us, and that is certainly done each and every Sunday morning at St. Anne’s. Hearing the choir sing at the 10 o’clock Sunday service can be a spiritual experience unto itself. Gifts of music are also offered by the Children’s Choir, the Bell Choir and The Folk Group.
St. Anne’s values lifelong Christian education. The parish encourages children to be active in the life of the church, to learn about the liturgy and the eucharist at a young age. Children at St. Anne’s start volunteering as acolytes in the 4th grade and continue through high school. Entire families, with children helping out, volunteer as ushers and greeters during Sunday service. From Vacation Bible School in the summer, to weekly Sunday school and weeknight youth group meetings, St. Anne’s provides a nurturing and supportive environment.

Our Mission
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is a family in God that courageously follows Jesus Christ by offering ourselves in love and service to others through the strength and grace of the Holy Spirit.
Our Vision
Our vision is to participate whole-heartedly in the ongoing ministry of Jesus by being an Episcopal parish devoted to worship, evangelism, pastoral care, Christian education and spiritual formation, with sincere care and responsiveness to the needs of those in and beyond our immediate community.
Worship: We offer ourselves to God through a Eucharistically centered worship that is open and welcoming of all people, characterized by beauty, truth and joy, and where all the baptized are encouraged to partake and share in the sacrament of Christ’s body and blood. Our worship services
Evangelism: We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Liturgy of the Word in our public worship, through the individual and personal witness of our members, and through specific ministries and programs of the parish and diocese that are designed to bring people into a living encounter with the resurrected Lord of Life.
Pastoral Care: We care for the pastoral and sacramental needs of all our members and seek to be a place of peace, healing and encouragement.
Christian Education and Spiritual Formation: We seek to offer and make known a variety of educational and spiritually formative opportunities so that all our members can mature in our faith, and in love and service to God and neighbor. St. Anne’s is a place where children are particularly honored, protected and nurtured in the faith of our Church.
Encouraging Leadership in the Church and World: In keeping with St. Anne’s history of raising up leaders for the vocation of the ordained ministry and specialized lay ministries, we encourage spiritual maturity and support our members in responding to God’s call to serve by providing opportunities to exercise leadership in the parish, deanery and diocese, and by offering competent spiritual direction and guidance. We also seek to promote and encourage leadership and excellence in every field of work where our parishioners serve, realizing that the spiritual life encompasses all that we do with our lives.
Outreach, Peace and Justice: We seek to respond to God’s call to remember the least and to practice peace and justice by creatively responding to the unique needs of our local community and places where our leadership discerns the invitation of God for our involvement.
